Uber Appoints Harvard Professor To Reform The Corporate Culture

Jun 7, 2017 | Uncategorized | 0 comments

Uber has just hired a professor from the Harvard Business School to help them solve the cultural and leadership issues. The company will soon publish an internal investigation report.

Uber Appoints Harvard Professor

Harvard Business School professor Frances Frei has served as a consultant for several months at Uber, where she officially joined the company last week as a full-time employee reporting directly to Uber CEO Travis Kalanick. He will also work with the company’s chief human resources officer, Liane Hornsey, and his team. The public is currently waiting for a survey of Uber’s cultural issues, led by Eric Holder, US Attorney General. Susan Fowler, a former software engineer at Uber, filed a lawsuit against the company that accused Uber of discriminating against sex and she said the corporate culture was aggressive. The report is expected to be released this week at the earliest, but because Kalanick’s mother died unexpectedly, and his father was seriously injured, the report release time may also be postponed. It was reported that Uber employees face sexual harassment and they were worse off than employees in other companies. Frei is good at helping organizations transform, and her work at Harvard Business School is known for bridging gender differences. She is well suited to this position, and Uber will be able to learn from her in many ways.
