The Korean manufacturer Samsung has recently launched the distribution of its version of Android 8.0. Owners of a Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus get so many new “Oreo” features. On board are also revised Emoji, and Samsung has finally fixed them.
Samsung Emoji
The latest version of the system software for the latest Galaxy devices is called Samsung Experience 9.0 and was recently distributed to all users. A small but quite serious innovation concerns the look of Emoji. Because according to Emojipedia the special way of the Koreans caused confusion for many, the best example was the rolling Emoji.

In the previous Samsung Experience 8.5, eye rolling was simply not or hardly recognizable. While the stylized pupils are pointing up and looking at each and every provider, such as Apple, Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Twitter, and the mouth is either straight or pointing down, Samsung’s face was smiling.

Now, however, eye rolling is clearly recognizable even with Samsung. Similarly, the anxious screaming face, the grimace, and the tired emoji were changed. Other adjustments are not so obvious, but Samsung has modified almost all of its iconic images, at least slightly. Emojipedia has counted more than 1000 changes, but some are barely visible to the naked eye. Some (good) examples: A cookie is no longer a cracker now, a cat has whiskers and the pile has a laughing mouth. The revolver has also been changed into a water pistol. Completely new are 239 emoji, but gender and skin color variants are counted here. With the Samsung Experience 9.0, the manufacturer is at the level of Emoji 5.0, ie March 2017.
