Galaxy Note 9 S Pen
The Galaxy Note 9 is traditionally the Samsung flagship of the second half of the year and the Koreans will present it in just over a month, more specifically on 9 August. Already in advance, Samsung has released a teaser video showing a new S Pen. It is clear that the revised pen will have a new design.

It has been suspected for some time that the new S Pen will allow its users to write at the table while holding the device to their own ears. This is possible thanks to integrated Bluetooth as well as presumably additional sensors in the stylus since this no longer makes it necessary to guide the S Pen on the screen.

The tipster Ice Universe has said that the Galaxy Note 9 will (also) master other interesting functionalities. And they sound pretty obvious and also more meaningful than the “table notes”. It is said that you can control audio with the S Pen of the Galaxy Note 9, presumably, you will be able to pause songs as well as jump back and forth. In addition, the Bluetooth stylus should be able to function as a remote shutter release for the camera, so you could take photos (with a tripod). This would be especially helpful for taking pictures of groups where a selfie arm length is no longer sufficient.

It is conceivable that such a stylus also supports various other remote control features. The associated API might make it possible to use the Galaxy Note 9 S Pen with third parties devices and apps.
