Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe in a press conference on Friday said that he will come on his knees and ask for President Obama’s hands in marriage since homosexual marriages are legalized in USA. This was indeed a taunting statement by President Robert Mugabe since he was against homosexual marriages being legalized.
President Robert Mugabe said:
“I’ve just concluded, since President Obama endorses the same-sex marriage, advocates homosexual people and enjoys an attractive countenance – thus if it becomes necessary, I shall travel to Washington, DC, get down on my knee and ask his hand,” Mugabe, 91, was quoted as saying by Turkish news website AWDnews.

He continue to mock US Supreme Court on their decision for legalizing homosexuality.
“I can’t understand how people dare to defy Christ’s explicit orders as our Lord prohibited mankind from sodomy.”
Robert Mugabe has a past with strong opposition to homosexuality and had made countless controversial statements against the GLBT community.
Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe has a strong political repression of homosexuals under sodomy laws. President Mugabe has blamed homosexuality for many of country’s problems. He believes that homosexuality as an “un-African” and immoral practice and against ethical and moral codes of human society. He believes that this immoral culture was brought by colonists and is practiced by only “a few whites” in Zimbabwe.
In annual independence celebrations Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe stated:
“It degrades human dignity. It’s unnatural, and there is no question ever of allowing these people to behave worse than dogs and pigs. If dogs and pigs do not do it, why must human beings? We have our own culture, and we must re-dedicate ourselves to our traditional values that make us human beings. … What we are being persuaded to accept is sub-animal behavior and we will never allow it here. If you see people parading themselves as Lesbians and Gays, arrest them and hand them over to the police!”

On many occasions his statement was against homosexuality.
