Snapdragon 810:

Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 An octa-core chip-set, consisting of four Cortex-A57 and four Cortex-A53 processor cores. Both these core sets replace Cortex-A15 and A7 respectively, with the Cortex-A57 offering a performance increase of about 24-55 percent, with power consumption increasing about 20 percent. This new chipset is designed to work in a specific way, the CPU cores are divided into two groups, and both groups can work simultaneously although cores within a group will only operate at the same frequency. GPU on the 810 has also been replaced with a new enhanced version of Adreno 430 which promises a 30 percent boost in performance. The data rate is around 3200 MHz.

Snapdragon 808:

Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset also employs use of A57/A53 Cortex combo with the slight difference of being a hexa-core processor. These 800 series cores will be as good as current A-15 quad designs. This chipset also is a 64 bit memory. The data rate of 808 lies around 1866 MHz. The GPU on this chipset is also Adreno but it’s Adreno 418, unlike 810’s Adreno 430.

The operating frequency of 808 turns out to be better as well in comparison with 810’s result. These tests seem a bit shocking as the result lay a question mark on the 810’s ability to be a flagship tier. One would have expected that 810 featuring more power and more capabilities to operate smooth but it turns out to be otherwise.
