The OnePlus X became official this morning and my partner Carlos told you all the details, as well as teaching you how to get an invitation to buy the OnePlus X. But now we will see a star comparison that could not be missed between the OnePlus X and OnePlus 2 , two spectacular terminals of the guys from OnePlus who want to make their mark in the market, and surely they will get it. We analyze them face to face in this comparison.
Comparison: OnePlus X vs OnePlus 2
Do you want a high-end top? Or are you looking for a medium-high range top? 5-inch screen? Or better than 5.5 inches? If you have clear answers, you already have a terminal but it is best to discover the exact differences in the most important sections of these OnePlus X and OnePlus 2 . The main difference as soon as you see them, is in the design.
Different screens, the OnePlus X panel is more colorful
On screen the main difference is found in inches. In the case of OnePlus X we have 5 inches and OnePlus 2 bet 5.5 inches . The resolution for both is 1080 × 1920. OnePlus X has AMOLED 441 ppi screen, while OnePlus 2 decided to bet on IPS LCD 401 ppi.
If we want more or less screen, we will have clear with which OnePlus 2 stay.
Good design in both options, the OnePlus X stands out a little more
The design of both OnePlus X and OnePlus 2 is magnificent and perfectly cared for both terminals. OnePlus 2 stands out for its aluminum body , but OnePlus X does not disappoint at all with its body in glass and metal details .
We both love design, a great success without a doubt. Especially the option to choose the ceramic version for the OnePlus X case will attract many users although we still do not know if it can be too delicate.
Processor, RAM and storage
It is curious that the OnePlus X comes out as a “smaller” terminal as an alternative to OnePlus 2 and that it remains surprisingly powerful , but the truth is that it is. It does not get to be as powerful as the OnePlus 2 but it is up to the average range reaching almost the high end, using a processor that once was riding in a lot of flagships.
In the case of the OnePlus X we have a Snapdragon 801 Quad-Core at 2.3 GHz and Adreno 330 , with 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage that we can expand up to 128 GB using microSD.
For the OnePlus 2 we have a Snapdragon 810 Octa-Core 1.8 GHz and Adreno 430, with 4 GB of RAM , and that does not leave anyone indifferent in storage with the possibility of choosing 64 GB, to store everything we want without limits.
Both are great potential, we will simply have to decide if we need more or less, because with the OnePlus X we will have less, but it is still more than enough for any user.
Rear camera, selfies and video camera
Good photos will be more than secured with OnePlus X and OnePlus 2. Both equip a 13 MP rear camera , in the case of OnePlus X LED flash while OnePlus 2 opts for Dual LED flash . The opening for OnePlus X is f / 2.2 and OnePlus 2 f / 2.0 . With both terminals we can take very good photos, that’s for sure.
In the front camera for selfies surprisingly also the OnePlus X, with its 8 MP with respect to 5 MP of the OnePlus 2. The good selfies are more than insured as well.
If you want to record videos in 4K, you will have to choose the OnePlus 2 , since the OnePlus X allows us up to 1080p HD. What we can do is record videos at 120 fps , with both. In the following image we can see the differences in the cameras and rear by each one, we love their finishes:
Battery
We will endure the day with both the OnePlus X and the OnePlus 2. Both terminals are equipped with a battery according to their screen size. OnePlus X surprises with 2,525 mAh for its 5 inches, while OnePlus 2 jumps to 3,300 mAh for its 5.5 inches of screen.
We will endure the day without problems with both, that’s for sure.
OS
With the OnePlus X we can enjoy Android 5.1 Lollipop with Oxygen OS UI , the same for OnePlus 2. For now, there’s no sign of Marshmallow. But it is a matter of time that we have data of the new Android for these OnePlus, in order to squeeze them to the fullest.
