Today we have very exciting news for MIUI fans. Xiaomi is all set to debut the beta testing for the upcoming MIUI 9 update. The official MIUI forums are replete with discussion regarding the new update that will be hitting the mobile phones very soon but the update will be closed group so it will not reach all the phones.

It is an invitation only update. So if you want to have the beta version of the MIUI update, you must have invitation from a friends or acquaintance to join the beta testing. Earlier always the newer update of MIUI is known to release in the month of August. Now again as August draws near, the rumors surrounding the news about the beta testing grows stronger. We might have beta testing available by the end of this month and then the complete roll out by the end of month of August.
According to the reports the Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has said that the new MIUI will be smoother, stronger and more powerful. It will have interesting features like split screen and photo in photo feature. It is based on the ‘Android Nougat 7.0’ The devices that will have MIUI 7 supported include Xiaomi Mi 6, Mi Note 2, MI MIX, Mi 5, Mi 5s, Mi 5C, Mi Max 2, Mi Max, Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 4X, Redmi 4, Redmi 4X, Redmi Note 3, Redmi 3s and Mi Pad 3 will be receiving MIUI 9.

The SMS scheduling feature that was expected to arrive on MIUI 9 is rumored to be cancelled because of the low number of SMS app users. The MIUI 9 is also expected to allow its users to delete some of the system apps such as Calendar or Calculator. Xiaomi is also rumored to bring split-screen function on its devices that are running on Android Marshmallow OS.
