With all the buzz going around suggesting that iPhone 7 might finally get rid of the long-running headphone jack for the sake of thickness, the latest image leaked on a Chinese website shows that Apple might have a few surprises waiting for us.

With all the buzz going around suggesting that iPhone 7 might finally get rid of the long-running headphone jack for the sake of thickness, the latest image leaked on a Chinese website shows that Apple might have a few surprises waiting for us.

On My Drivers, a circuit showing the 3.5mm headphone jack can be seen evidently from the image, concluding that iPhone 7 might not get rid of this feature after all. Looks like Apple will have to find a different way of getting reducing the thickness of its upcoming iPhone family. What the suggested information did not reveal is whether or not the larger iPhone of the two, which is being iPhone 7 Plus will also have the same circuit or not.

iPhone 7

From the looks of things, both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will retain their predecessors’ screen sizes, which stand in at 4.7 and 5.5 inches respectively. However, there are going to be a bundle of changes added to these iPhones, including a dual-camera functionality, which we believe might only be exclusive to the iPhone 7 Plus. The one major concern that we are having right now is if Apple is going to sacrifice even more battery capacity for the same of thickness reduction.

We have to admit that Apple’s chips are getting more and more power efficient, but honestly, that does not excuse them to compromise on battery capacity. The company’s Touch ID feature is definitely going to make a return, and with Apple’s A10 chipset, we can promise that you will definitely be seeing a larger improvement in the performance and battery life categories.

While these features are something that we will definitely look forward too, the removal of the 3.5mm headphone is not something that you guys might approve. However, thanks to this leaked image, looks like that is not going to be the case after all but do not count Apple out just yet since the company might hit us with a low blow when we least expect it.
