Huawei has introduced two new smartphones, the P20, and the P20 Pro, which are supposed to impress with high-resolution cameras. Visually, the comparison to the iPhone X is noticeable in both models, which is mainly due to the “notch” at the top of the screen. But, how similar or how different are the two phones?
P20 Pro VS iPhone X
If you take the Huawei P20 and the iPhone X in your hand, you notice that the first one is a bit lighter. This may be due to the stainless steel frame of the iPhone, while Huawei relies on aluminum. Huawei also offers the P20 in much more colorful variations. Both models use an OLED display, which is why the color reproduction of the P20 and iPhone X is similarly good. The most striking common feature of both screens is the notch at the top. However, this “notch” is smaller in the P20 and can also be hidden by software function. The image areas are colored black on the left and right.

Both the iPhone X and the Huawei P20 have a dual camera on the back. On the iPhone X, the second lens allows a zoom, while the P20 is responsible for black and white photos. The Huawei P20 Pro even comes with three camera sensors on the back, with the third offering a whopping 40 megapixels and achieving a five-fold hybrid zoom.
