ASUS Presents ZenFone 5 Lite, The First Four Camera Smartphone

For the Mobile World Congress, the Taiwanese manufacturer Asus has also introduced a “Lite” version of the new ZenFone series in addition to the ZenFone 5 and 5Z models: The special feature of the Lite is its camera equipment.Here, Asus has come up with something very special. With the ZenFone 5, Lite Asus wants to offer an elegant 6-inch smartphone for high demands. Visually it succeeded, simple and noble, with which this first claim should be fulfilled. The Taiwanese offer the ZenFone 5 Lite which is the world’s first true 4-camera system with 120 ° wide-angle cameras front and rear. The sensors come from Sony and have on the front 20 megapixels with Aperture 2.0 and on the back 16 megapixels with Aperture 2.2 – the focus of this new device is thus clearly on creative smartphone photography. Corresponding filters and recording modes help to create the perfect picture.

Visually, it is an eye-catcher: It has, like the other new models from Asus, a very narrow edge. The design of the back is dominated by the two cameras and the finger scanner. If you want, you can order the ZenFone 5 Lite in bright red (“Rouge Red”), which should be available from May. Otherwise, there are a black and a white version – all three versions are equally stylish and noble.

The ZenFone 5 Lite is powered by the Snapdragon 630 Mobile Platform, which comes with 3 or 4 GB of memory depending on the model. For other markets, there is still the 430 CPU. The display has a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The market launch is planned for the second quarter of 2018. The price of the new mid-range smartphone is not yet available.
