Screen addiction is a problem that kids these days are suffering from, since a very tender age. They become hooked to mobile phones and tabs and are unable to give attention to anything else. Kids and teens get bored and uninterested in everything else very easily. Only internet and mobile phone games are able to provide them with entertainment and get their full time attention.
Why Parental Controls?
Parents all over the world are becoming more and more aware of this problem and they are trying to get their kids unhooked from screens somehow. However this becomes quite difficult as parents are very busy these days with their work. That is why Apple has vowed to improve the parental controls on their mobile phone devices so that even in the absence of parents, the kids are not hooked to the mobile phones and their screen time is limited to what is set by their parents.

Last week an open letter was written to Apple Inc that requested them to enable parents to limit the iPhone use. The letter written by Jana Partners LLC and the California State Teachers’ Retirement System (Calstrs), became hugely popular and viral as this problem is prevailing in most of the stratas of the society all over the world.
In response to this letter, Apple has assured concerned parents that it will indeed take measures that will enable parents to have a good amount of control over their kids’ online activities as well as limiting their screen times.
