The construction of the new Apple headquarters “spaceship” has been the focus of the world’s since this building was announced by Steve Jobs in 2004. In 2009, official planning for the Apple Park began. It cost 5 billion US dollars and it can accommodate 12,000 people in the building.

Because of the UFO like shape, Apple headquarters was dubbed as the spaceship headquarters by the media, but in February this year, Apple announced the official name of the headquarters: Apple Park. In the next 30 days, the first batch of employees will continue to enter the park, there will be 500 people a week moving to the new park, more than 12,000 employees will be stationed in the next six months. Apple Park is located in the city of Cupertino, California, and covers an area of 175 acres (70.8 hectares). The park’s main building is a huge ring, with an area of 2.8 million square feet (260,000 square meters). Apple Park uses the world’s largest curved glass. Apple announced its headquarters construction plan in 2011. It was initially planned to be completed and relocated in 2015, but the project was postponed several times. According to a former construction manager, this is because Apple’s standards are high, and the design of a door handle takes at least a year and a half, and even the building manager who was in charge of the door handle was unable to see the finalized version.

The building was the brainchild of Apple’s former CEO Steve Jobs.
It has been designed by Norman Foster.
Before the announcement of the official name, the campus was called ‘Spaceship’ by the media, owing to its flying-saucer-like shape.
Major launches will now happen at the Apple Park.
It has a cafe, an auditorium called Steve Jobs theater, a wellness center, an R&D facility, a transit center, parking, and a visitor center.
It will be powered by renewable energy.
