However, one does not necessarily have to initiate a development from scratch. At Intel, there are already prototypes – even if they do not have the state of Qualcomm chips. The group has also several thousand employees who are working on 5G modems.Whether these will ultimately reach the feature scope of the competition, is still unclear, because various specifications that can be found at Qualcomm are ultimately not supported by the network operators anyway anyway.
