While we were still busy musing about Android Go and the impact it is going to have on the mobile phone industry, we are once again in for a surprise in the form of unveiling of Android P. Android P or Android Pie is the new developers Android OS. According to Evan Blass, the notorious leaker who is seldom wrong about his predictions, the date of the Android P Preview will be mid of March.

The developers preview means it is going to show all the new features added as well as the upgrades. People anxiously await for the upgrades, hoping that the problem they are facing is solved in the next version or not. The date of 3/14 is much befitting for the preview as it is the same as the value of pie, as in the P in the name of the new OS. However we know that Androids are named after food items and pie here is most probably an allude to apply pie or blueberry pie but still people will speculate and the rumor is ripe on the internet.

The funny thing is that it is not even confirmed that whether P stands for Pie or not. It can be pancake, pizza or even peppermint, but pie is most likely candidate because of easy spelling.
The preview version will not be able to to install on all mobile phones. There will be as always a limited number of phones that can run and preview the new OS until the full release.
