78 Million People In The United States Do Not Have Broadband

According to reports, many people in the United States can not afford the broadband network. From the statistical point of view, in the United States, 62 million urban population can not afford the broadband network, and in the rural areas, there are 16 million people who can not use the broadband network.

Broadband Use In The United States

IHS Markit researchers said that the reason why there will be a lot of people who can not afford the broadband network is the gap between rich and poor and urban and rural gap is huge. In some large countries, such as India, China, Brazil, Russia and the United States, an average of 44% of the population is cannot access the internet can not afford the broadband network and only 20% of the urban population in these countries have the broadband. However, IHS Markit also mentioned that the US urban and rural gap is smaller than the average. About 23% of the urban population in the United States is less accessible or can not afford the broadband network, compared with 28% in rural areas. In China, 30 % of the urban and rural population does not have access to the broadband.
